Thomas Franks Catering specialises in high end catering, servicing businesses and schools.
When a large tender opportunity was closed to them, they started to consider seriously the prospect of gaining certification.
Although a tender requirement may have put ISO certification on their radar, Thomas Franks didn’t want to just go through the motions.
It was important to them that the process led to genuine business improvements, and Qualitation’s approach fitted with that ethos perfectly.
Part of Thomas Franks’s offering is that they deliver flexibility on their menus, requiring their chefs to be flexible.
It was extremely important to their continued success that any quality system wouldn’t restrict the creativity of their chefs.

Thomas Franks work at over 60 locations across the UK, and it would have been a challenge to update everything at once.
So, we took a more measured approach and, after an initial assessment, chose three key locations to work with in the first instance. We chose two Qualitators, Frank and John, who had catering experience to support Thomas Franks in their ISO implementation. We set up a system that gave Thomas Franks the flexibility they desired and the ISO certification they needed.
