Gaining UKAS accreditation
ISO 17025 Laboratory Competence.
KP Acoustics provide consultancy in acoustics, noise and vibration.
They wished to offer UKAS accredited sound insulation testing as part of their service to clients. We walked them through the process.
Some building regulations demand that sound testing is carried out using independent, accredited assessors before issuing compliance certificates. By becoming a fully accredited sound assessor, KP Acoustics could offer a more attractive service package to their key clients of architects, builders and developers.
The Director had some previous experience of gaining accreditation with a previous company and came to us to help them through the process.
We identified our Qualitator Tim as the person best suited to work with KP Acoustics.
Tim took what was a large undertaking, and broke the project down into manageable chunks, building up a quality management review for each section.
“Tim took charge in a very robust manner. What he eventually did worked miracles!”
– KP Acoustics
KP Acoustics passed their UKAS assessment first time without any problems and now offer UKAS accredited sound testing as part of their standard service.
“Our eventual successful UKAS assessment was all down to the work Tim did … I can’t think of any way Qualitation could improve. I only wish all suppliers we deal with could be as great as them.”
– Kyros Papanagiotou, Director, KP Acoustics
